“IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO BE WHAT YOU MIGHT'VE BEEN”

I believe we are constantly faced with challenges & opportunities throughout life, to either optimize our environment or succumb to defeat. It's up to us to see what we want, use fear and doubt as our strength and proceed with discipline…... One of my favorite quotes and mottos to live by daily is: "Do something that sucks everyday in constant pursuit of one's capabilities!!"

I now consider myself a hybrid athlete, seeking any kind of challenge and incorporating all forms of training to my daily routine. But it wasn’t until I was 39 and 5 children later, that I would really get serious about my health & overall wellness. Initially, It was a mental/ emotional change, seeking refuge from the symptoms of PTSD. Traditional methods of recovery didn't work for me and I needed something more. It then became a more physical challenge I craved and eventually competed for the first time as a figure competitor at 40. I learned all the good (and bad) things bodybuilding, nutrition, body fat, “peek week” and the slow process of building muscle as a Vegan woman.

Still to this day the mental aspect is my driving force, motivation and edge that I now depend on. I learn how to strengthen my mind and become emotionally stable after battling ptsd & depression. Then it was about vanity and looking good - that meant bigger muscles & less fat (for me). Once I hit 45 and becoming a grandmother, things changed once again - it really sunk in that I wanted to 'last' to watch my family grow and still enjoy active living, so it then became about health, vitality and sustainability. I've tried it all, every form of sport, diet and movement and what I have learned is this: NOTHING will work if you don't decide & commit.... that said, learn your weaknesses, grab a hold of fear & fight for YOU!! We have a responsibility to take our health seriously and to use our bodies, not become a burden on our loved ones or become another liability for our economy and health care system.

I have now taken on the hat of entrepreneur, opening my first studio gym in Kingston Ontario, to share my beliefs in living strong and ultimately aging strong.

Designing programs is my specialty. After years of using my own body as a test, my wants/ goals kept changing. Depending on where I was in my age, life and responsibilities... My interests kept varying and I knew that would be the case for my clients & members

I started writing programs that touched on all aspects of survival and mortality. Full body fitness that will enable you to move stronger, longer and easier - this is the stuff that literally keeps me up sometimes (in a good way). It's not about putting a couple moves on a board and going through some motions - there is thought, a goal for our members and a mission

That is the difference
That is the commitment
That is Rebelle Fit!!
